1979 MINI triumph spitfire project

200000

Description

Currently not running, originally bought it as something to tinker with but now my money is being dumped into other hobbies.

Chassis is in good solid condition and rust free from what I can tell.

Engine has been rebuilt by a previous owner and did run briefly but kept dying at idle, which I believe is caused by the junkyard Weber conversion someone put in the car.

Heater core has been bypassed so my guess is its corroded out.

The car will crank but wont start due to the distributor being out of time and the spark plug leads not fitting the plugs well.

Transmission needs work as the synchros weren't working the one time I did get to drive this car.

It also has the typical electrical issues of British cars with some of the switch gear missing and a battery drain somewhere in the system, as well as a previous owners attempt to splice in a switch operated electric fan.

Doors close an latch fine but have the usual issue of the window regulators wearing out causing the windows to not roll up correctly.

It has a new battery, soft top, and tires.
